Student Volunteering Home

Durham University has a long history of volunteering, it was officially formalised by students for students in 1989, but we know that volunteering informally pre-dates this. You can see more of our history in our online exhibition here.

Durham University Student Volunteering and Outreach (DUSVO) is the home of student-led volunteering. DUSVO has expanded over the years and now sits within the wider Volunteering and Outreach department (DUVO), where we also have college, society, department and sports volunteering opportunities.
