Terms and Conditions applicable to entries into the Durham University Volunteering and Outreach Just Eat voucher draw
- The Volunteering and Outreach Community Engagement Survey Just Eat voucher draw (the “Competition”) is a prize draw competition run and administered by Durham University Volunteering and Outreach (DUVO) on behalf of the University of Durham (the “University”) as an incentive to complete the volunteering experience survey;
- The “Competition” shall commence on Friday 1st May 2026 and shall conclude on Friday 22nd May 2026.
- During the “Competition”, respondents to the survey will have the opportunity to enter the free prize draw on completion of the survey by entering their Durham University email address. All respondents who enter their email address shall be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions;
- Entries to the Competition are restricted to University Email account holders who have completed the survey.
- DUVO shall select two Competition winners (“Winner”) randomly from all valid entries received.
- All entries for the Competition must be submitted by Midnight on the 22nd May 2026.
- The Winners shall be selected from all entries received before the deadline and shall be contacted by email to be informed that they have won the prize.
- DUVO shall announce the winner by contacting the winner via private message. There will be no formal announcement to the wider University.
- The single prize awarded to each Winner will be a £50 Just Eat voucher;

- Entries received outside the duration of the Competition as detailed herein, will not be considered;
- In the event that a Winner does not respond to DUVO within fourteen (14) days of being notified they are a Winner of a Prize by DUVO by email, then the winner’s prize may be forfeited and DUVO (at its discretion) shall be entitled to select another Winner in accordance with the process described above. A Winner may choose to accept or reject a Prize. In the event that a Winner chooses to reject a Prize, a different Winner may be chosen at the discretion of DUVO;
- An entry shall be declared invalid where it is submitted in breach of these Terms and Conditions, or an entrant is found to have breached these terms and conditions. Where such entrant is a Winner, that Winner’s Prize will be forfeited and DUVO shall be entitled to select another Winner.
- The Prize will be sent to the Winner by email;
- The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash;
- The University retains the right to substitute any Prize with another prize of similar value in the event that any prize offered is not available;
- The University shall use and take care of any personal information you may supply and shall at all times handle it strictly in accordance with the terms of the Data Protection Act 2018. By entering the Competition, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about the Prize;
- The University accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting the Prize. The University further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of the University for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence;
- The University reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of the University in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into;
- The University shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure;
- These terms and conditions will be governed by English law and entrants to the Competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
